Write from Emily

EMILY C. REYNOLDS,  author
                 . . . delivering romance with a comedic punch

When it comes to love stories, there's nothing like laugh-
out-loud humor! So that's what I write—faith-filled contemporary romances with lots of laughs. I'm currently working on a three-book series for the Christian market—consecutive stand-alone novels set in small-town Maine, featuring several recurring characters.

Right Hook for Romance, the first in the series, is a light-hearted, character-driven love story that touches on overcoming bitterness, trusting God, and opening your heart to the redemptive power of forgiveness. In the novel, a martial artist’s plan for a jujitsu school thwarts a wannabe bookstore owner’s dream. When Micah and Lily get partnered for swing dance lessons, romance heats up on—and off—the dance floor. But every encounter is fraught with missteps and secrets that threaten to trip them up for good. And the hero’s dark past is quickly catching up with him . . .

I'm now finishing the first draft of the second novel in the series, Mistletoe & Mischief. To find out more about the stories in the series, click on the link for "Emily's Books."

I write and re-write and just keep on writing because I love discovering where each story takes me.  There's nothing more energizing!
Getting to know the characters in the fictional small town of Maple Grove is a real treat, and I can't wait to someday (soon, I hope!) share their journey toward happily-ever-after with you!

I'm a reader, writer, and Editorial Assistant for Hartline Literary Agency, where I evaluate and critique manuscripts.
Community romances are one of my  favorite genres, and I'm working on a three-book series of humorous contemporary romances set in the fictional coastal town of Maple Grove, Maine.
     RIGHT HOOK FOR ROMANCE,
my first novel, won second place in the contemporary category for the 2010 Heart of the West contest hosted by Romance Writers of America.
I'm what optimists in the writing world call "pre-pubbed," which means my agent is hard at work trying to find a publishing home for my project.
I am a member of American Christian Fiction Writers, a great resource for any reader or writer.
